I am making a map for Halo Custom Edition. This map is based in a tropical vally. The main base design it based on this concept art from the "Halo 3 Art Book"; [link]

I will be using only my weapon models, before you ask, I will be removing all the un needed shit on them, and making LOD's.

Based on Halo 3 Designs.

* Assault Rifle
* Battle Rifle
* Beam Rifle
* Brute Shot
* Covenant Carbine
* Flamethrower
* Fuel Rod Gun
* Gravity Hammer (Maybe)
* Energy Sword (Maybe)
* Machine Gun Turret
* Magnum
* Mauler
* Missile Pod
* Plasma Cannon
* Needler
* Plasma Pistol
* Plasma Rifle
* Rocket Launcher
* Sentinel Beam
* Shotgun
* SMG - Silenced + Unsilenced
* Sniper Rifle
* Spartan Laser
* Spiker

I will remove some weapons, because there are to many there.

Again, will only be using my models.

* Warthog - Chaingun, Gauss, Troop, Civi.
* Scorpian - Rocket, Flame + Sniper.
* Ghost - Plasma, Brute Style (Spikes)
* Hornet - Normal, Chaingun on back.
* Banshee
* Chopper
* Wraith
* Prowler
* Mongoose

I might model the Halo 3 Recon armer and use it as the character which you play as. This project will take a long time, as there is a LOT to do. once the BSP is done and out of the way it should speed up a bit, although there is still a lot of content to make, weapons, vehicles, effects, devices, scenery, populate map, make LOD's, texture work (Biggy), Portal map and make sure it runs smoothly, which I really doubt it will due to the amount of detail.

is it possible for you to upload the Troop Warthog and the Civi warthog?... im making The Pit... err as i know it... Cyberdyne for Garry's mod :) [link]

how woul i be able to open the .mtl?

microsoft has no info on it and i didnt see the import option for 3DS Max
google isnt very helpful with it either...

and it has Pelicans too [link] .... now up to 4 pelicans :)

please give me credit for the modifications but also Bungie for the original models.

Looks very nice, though some of the geometry should be simplified (like the corners on the tower) if this is going to be a large scale map. Can't wait to see further progress!

Looking good, what version of max did you use??

was messing around with halo 2 for Vista and tried importing some BSP for a level and it didnt seem to like it... Maybe it was my version of the exporter or version of max..

Ok, anyway, you recreated the design pretty perfectly, i was working on a map like this in halo 3 forge, in the skybubble on sandbox. I think you should transform it into a docking station, for water ships. maybe add some bridge and cranes,it would also give you an opportunity to make a cool background, letting the water outlet into the sea.

The theme is a tropical vally. I dont think there will be any water in the base.
